Pastors Brent and Nicole have been in full-time ministry for 31 years. Together, along with their 2 children, they have poured their lives into the mission that God loves people and that His Word changes lives!

Earlby & Esther Coulter
Pastor Emeritus & Honorary Staff Members
Dr. Earlby Coulter & his wife, Esther, have over fifty years of experience in the ministry, and have been pastoring at The City Church since 1989. Earlby and Esther both graduated from Bible School in 1962, they were married and entered the ministry shortly thereafter. Pastor Coulter has three earned degrees, B.A., M.Div., and a Th.D. Dr. Coulter earned his degrees while working in various roles of full-time ministry.

Isabel Opiniano
Operations & Events Director
Isabel graduated from Hillsong College in 2020 and has an Advanced Diploma in Ministry. She has a passion for seeing people find hope and life in Christ. She currently oversees Operations and Events within the church.

Avery Sweetman
Connections & Groups Coordinator
Avery graduated from Tyndale University and has a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Psychology. She also has a Certificate IV in Ministry from Hillsong College. She has a passion for seeing people live full and vibrant lives in Christ-centered community. She currently oversees our City Groups while assisting with welcoming new attendees on Sundays.

Paris Coulter
Worship, Production & Creative Director
Paris graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Leadership and an Advanced Diploma in Ministry from Hillsong College. She has a passion for fostering environments where people can encounter Jesus. She currently oversees our Worship and Production departments, and co-leads our Creative Team alongside Kristine.

Jayne Lawrence
Administrative Assistant
Jayne holds a Bachelor of Arts in Disability Studies from Toronto Metropolitan University and has experience as an Educational Assistant. She’s passionate about serving her community and now supports City Church by managing our day-to-day administrative needs with care and dedication.

Anastasiia Mashko
City Kids Coordinator
Anastasiia has a long-standing heart for ministry and a deep passion for teaching and guiding children. With over 16 years of experience working with children and families, she is passionate about impacting kids at every stage of life with the love of Jesus. She is grateful to serve City Church as the City Kids Coordinator.

Shirley Cook
Administrative Assistant
Shirley graduated from Sheridan College’s Executive Secretarial Program in 1973 and joined our team in 1996. Since then, she has been faithfully managing and coordinating the office’s administrative needs.

Aiden Simpson
Junior High Director
Aiden has grown up at The City Church since he was a toddler and stands as a testament to the impact of its youth ministry. He has a deep heart for the Lord, His Church, and His people. Working in conjunction with Akash, Aiden directs our Junior High ministries and is thrilled to pour into the next generation through the very same program that has given him so much over the years.

Akash Bhachu
Senior High Director
Akash is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Theology at Emmanuel Bible College. He is driven by a deep desire to see lives transformed by the gospel and to see believers raised up as disciples for the Kingdom. Working in conjunction with Aiden, Akash directs our Senior High ministries and oversees youth programs throughout the week.
