Lead Pastor

Pastor Brent joined the Pastoral Staff in 1994 upon graduating from Bible College, and served faithfully for many years as an associate Pastor under Pastors Earlby and Esther Coulter. He became the Lead Pastor at The City Church in November 2008. Brent is passionate and committed to see everyone live the abundant life that God has provided for them. His messages will inspire and challenge you to follow Jesus everyday.

Lead Pastor & Operations Consultant

Originally from Arizona, Nicole graduated from Bible College in 1993 where she met and soon after, married Brent Coulter. Nicole loves being a Mom! Nicole has served and functioned in the leadership of Youth and Kids Ministries at The City Church. More recently she had oversight in the design and decoration of our new facility. Her current role is Operations consultant.

Pastor Emeritus

Dr. Earlby Coulter & his wife, Esther, have over fifty years of experience in the ministry, and have been pastoring at The City Church since 1989. Earlby and Esther both graduated from Bible School in 1962, they were married and entered the ministry shortly thereafter. Pastor Coulter has three earned degrees, B.A., M.Div., and a Th.D. Dr. Coulter earned his degrees while working in various roles of full-time ministry.

Worship & Young Adults Director

Elle has a diverse academic background, earning degrees from the University of Toronto, Niagara University, and Tyndale University, where she recently received a Master of Divinity. She is passionate about leading vibrant disciples in the local church. Alongside her husband, George, they oversee the Worship and Creative Arts and Young Adults Ministries at City Church.

Youth Pastor

Michael graduated from Humber College with a degree in Graphic Design. He has a passion for seeing students move closer to Jesus. Michael currently oversees our Junior High and Senior High programs throughout the week. He also creates graphics and edits videos for Sunday services and special events.

Operations & Events Director

Isabel graduated from Hillsong College in 2020 and has an Advanced Diploma in Ministry. She has a passion for seeing people find hope and life in Christ. She currently oversees Operations and Events within the church.

City Kids Coordinator

Ruth graduated with a specialization in Social Work. She has a passion for seeing future generations move closer to Jesus. She manages and oversees our City Kids programs, ensuring we offer safe and engaging classes for children of all ages, and also partners with her husband, Michael, in running City Youth.

Connections & Groups Coordinator

Avery graduated from Tyndale University and has a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Psychology. She also has a Certificate IV in Ministry from Hillsong College. She has a passion for seeing people live full and vibrant lives in Christ-centered community. She currently oversees our City Groups and Young Adults programs while assisting with welcoming new attendees on Sundays.

Shirley graduated from Sheridan College’s Executive Secretarial Program in 1973 and joined our team in 1996. Since then, she has been faithfully managing and coordinating the office’s administrative needs.

Kristine graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies. She has a passion for the creative arts, and seeing people experience God's love and kindness. She currently co-leads our Creative Team alongside Paris.

Paris graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Leadership and an Advanced Diploma in Ministry from Hillsong College. She loves all things worship and creative as it pertains to church life. She currently co-leads our Creative Team alongside Kristine.

Jayne holds a Bachelor of Arts in Disability Studies from Toronto Metropolitan University and has experience as an Educational Assistant. She’s passionate about serving her community and now supports City Church by managing our day-to-day administrative needs with care and dedication.
